Lena's Story

Lena McDearmid is a two-time founder, senior operator, and published contributor to Fast Company and Inc. With more than twenty years of experience building inside companies that were growing fast, under pressure, and at scale.

She came up through lending and finance at Wells Fargo and CarMax before being recruited to GreenSky, where she spent seven years moving across credit, operations, product, and technology as the company scaled to a Nasdaq IPO. She was inside the work the entire time, learning firsthand what it takes to build, scale, and perform at every stage of growth.

She left after the IPO and co-founded Momnt, an embedded lending platform, where she served as Co-Founder, COO, and Chief Culture Officer. Momnt facilitated over $1 billion in lending volume within a few years of founding, was named the number one fastest-growing company in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle's 2024 Pacesetter Awards, and won multiple culture awards including Inc. Magazine Best Workplaces and Atlanta Business Chronicle Best Places to Work.

She was building the culture while the company was scaling at full speed. Winning best places to work while hitting those growth numbers is not an accident. It is architecture.
